We're two months out from the release of The Folklore of Forever, and for a story about stories, I thought it would be fitting to use library card inserts with the preorder campaign. If you purchase your copy of TFOF from A Novel Romance before April 8th, you'll get one of these bad boys along with your signed book:

But even if you don't preorder through A Novel Romance, it's super helpful to preorder at all, from anywhere. You probably hear authors banging on all the time about preordering, and we do this because a book's first week sales hold a LOT of importance to our publishers, and preorders are included in first week's sales. Basically, racking up a lot of preorders signals to our publishers "Hey, people are supporting this author's work! Keep publishing more books by them." Whereas if a book's first week sales are low, the publisher might be less enthused about offering more contracts to that author. I <3 being employed! It funds my earring addiction.
Buying the book before its release day or within that first week gives the book's chances of success a boost, whether you do so through A Novel Romance, Barnes and Noble, your local indie, Amazon, etc. You can find a bunch of online retailer links here.
Here are some out-of-context TFOF quotes to entice you. Purchase a copy to find out what the heck any of the below means:
"Imagine never being able to get rid of eternally eighty-year-old Senator Barry, who keeps vetoing all the bills to fight climate change because he doesn’t have any skin and can’t feel how hot the earth is getting.”
"He looks like he wears a beige backpack around in his own house, and he’s filled it with knives.”
"I’ve just let loose a raccoon that transforms into a cloud of yellowjackets whenever it smells pears."
“He told me he used to eat Play-Doh as a child. We don’t know what Play-Doh does to cognitive function, man.”
"We have to take out your bones."
And my personal favorite:
"I promise, you will live long enough to be murdered for your jewels someday."
